Chile’s unique combination of geography and climate make it an ideal land for world-level wine production. Tintorujo gives value to one of the residues this industry produces: the organic grape pomace (seed and skin) through specific drying and grinding processes that allow it to maintain its high fiber content and antioxidant power –high level of ORAC, polyphenols and flavonoids-, generating an innovative and functional ingredient: grape pomace flour.

This raw material –with the potential of preventing and treating chronic diseases- is used for the manufacturing of the finest gourmet functional foods: sweet biscuits and crackers, chilean empanadas, condiment for food preparation, varieties of breads and pastas. All of these are additive and preservative-free, to which grape pomace provides unique organoleptic properties.
